The Encounter

Posted on 13. Jul, 2012 by in cinema, GH2, nature, places

We were heading out to the Neptune Islands, South Australia, to cage dive with White Pointers. It was such a beautiful afternoon we decided to visit a nearby colony of the rare and endangered Australian sea lions (Neophoca cinerea) to see if we could get amongst them underwater. As the saying goes…a good time was had by all.

Shot with a hacked GH2 in a converted Subal F4 Procase using a 7-14mm Lumix lens.

Thanks to Andrew Fox (of Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions) for being the kind and considerate host that he always is.

loved it, thought it great when one sea lion gently hugged another. Interesting to see the quality of the GH2 camera
